Brown 2017
Princeton at Brown
October 14th, 2019
Princeton wins 53-0
Pregame:
We’re unbearable, but bear with us. It’s the Princeton University Band!
[Band marches on to Princeton Cannon Song]
Did you hear that the new Miss America Cara Mund found her mentor at Brown? Her name is Mary Jane! Mary Jane’s favorite color is pink, she loves getting spray tans, and her favorite hobby is baking! She LOVES to make brownies above all else! Her brownies are always super special! Mary Jane loves kitchenware too, especially pots. What she wouldn’t give for good pots sometimes! Her second favorite container, IF she had to choose one, would probably be a basket because she’s fascinated by how they’re woven.
[Band forms pot and plays Basket Case]
Though she favors pots above them all, Mary Jane enjoys other kitchenware as well: pans for their frying capability, platters for their serving capability, peelers for their peeling capability. Wow would you look at that! All of Mary Jane’s favorite things start with a Double Double Rotating P!
[Band forms Double Double Rotating P and plays Going Back to Nassau Hall]
Halftime:
War? HUH! What is it good for? The Princeton University Band!
[Band marches on to Princeton Forward March]
Here we find ourselves 3 years later in the saga of Brunoneo and Princetoniette. Their son Johnny B. Goode is now 3, which translates to “angsty preteen” in tiger-bear years. Johnny’s more of a handful for his parents now. He wears all black and orange plus eyeliner. He rides a skateboard to school every day. He listens to Paramore and My Chemical Romance. Surviving The Middle school is just so hard. Playing The Middle, the Band forms a teardrop on the field because WE HAVE FEELINGS, DANG IT MOM!
[Band forms teardrop and plays The Middle]
It just so happens to be Family Weekend here, the perfect time for some mother-son bonding between Johnny and Princetoniette. As a concerned mother, Princetoniette decided to bring her son to church. (read in teen boy voice) “Why are you bringing me here MOM?” Johnny asked as he finished carving his name in a nearby tree. “Why can’t you just leave me alone? You don’t understand me!” Princetoniette looked at her son and said: “Because you need to read the Gospel, John, and (read in meme-y voice) y’all need Jesus.”
[Band forms Bible (plain rectangle) and plays Gospel John]
Run away Band, the Bears are coming fur you!
