Ladies and gentlemen, the Princeton University Band presents….There You Are — the show that takes you into the past. We take you back to 1154 B.C. Two-hundred and thirty-six Greek soldiers slip through the gates of Troy, hidden in a huge wooden horse, to execute the successful siege of Troy. There you are!

“The Old Gray Mare” (Band forms horse)

July twenty-sixth, nineteen fifty-six….President Nasser of Egypt seizes the Suez Canal. There you are!

“The Sheik of Araby” (Band forms pyramid)

April fourteenth, nineteen hundred and twelve. The S.S. Titanic, a new trans-Atlantic liner, sinks off the coast of Newfoundland on its maiden voyage. There you are!

“Row, Row, Row Your Boat” (Band forms ship, which sinks into water)

Nine-hundred fifty-four B.C. A blind old man totters along a dusty road, groping his way. He is Oedipus, King of Thebes. There you are!

​“I Want a Girl” (Band forms heart) (Band marches off in twos, promenade style)
