Ladies and gentlemen, the Princeton University Band presents “A Cram Course for Quiz Shows”….a series of interesting facts which may prove useful in preparing for an appearance on a T.V. quiz program. Our first category is biology. The lightest internal organ in the human body is the kidney, which weighs 5.3 ounces. However, it can increase to a weight of 15.7 ounces.

The next category is history. On October 8, 1871, a fire in Chicago Illinois, started by a cow kicking over a lantern in Mrs. O’Leary’s barn on 558 Dekoven Street, caused losses estimated at one-hundred and ninety-six million dollars.

In the category of sociology: In 1955 there were one-hundred and eighty-eight thousand, seven-hundred and thirty-two inmates in state and federal prisons in the United States.

Our last category is agriculture. In 1957 California led the United States in the production of wine, producing one-hundred and ten thousand barrels.
